Nintendo Switch 2 launches on June 5

Nintendo announced during its Switch 2 Direct that the new console will launch on June 5.

The Switch 2 is coming a bit over eight years since the debut of the first Switch, which became a massive success for Nintendo. It helped turn the company’s fortunes after the poor performance of the Wii U.

Switch 2 will release with Mario Kart World as a launch title. It will also come bundled as a digital game with some versions of the bundle.

The base version of console will cost $450, the one bundled with Mario Kart World will cost $500. Preorders start on April 9.
