Nintendo announces its World Championships qualifying venues

The Nintendo World Championships 2015 are getting real.

Nintendo announced today the qualifying venues for its upcoming World Championships tournament. The Japanese gaming giant first ran a World Championships back in 1990 — resulting in one of the rarest NES cartridges around — and it’s bringing the tournament back this year. Nintendo is hoping that the nostalgic special event will help it build on its growing Wii U and 3DS hardware sales momentum.
