Naughty Dog, the legendary studio behind the Uncharted and The Last of Us franchises, announced a new title at The Game Awards 2024. Specifically, it revealed the new IP it’s been working on, called Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The cinematic trailer showed the main character, a bounty hunter called Jordan Mun, finding a lead on a bounty they’re hunting — all footage was captured in-engine, said host Geoff Keighley.

At present, we know very little about Naughty Dog’s new title, save that it’ll be directed by Neil Druckmann of The Last of Us fame, and that it’ll feature an original score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The title for the game first cropped up earlier this year when Sony patented it, though there was nothing to indicate at the time that it was a Naughty Dog title. We’ll likely hear more about Naughty Dog’s new IP sometime next year.
