Nate Mitchell, cofounder of Oculus, shows off the Oculus Rift S.

Nate Mitchell interview — Why Facebook built the Oculus Rift S headset for the PC

Nate Mitchell is head of virtual reality products and cofounder of Facebook’s Oculus division. He’s been there since near the beginning of VR’s rebirth, and he was at the Game Developers Conference this week to evangelize the newest Oculus products.

They include the expected Oculus Quest wireless VR headset, and well as the surprise (sort of) PC-connected sequel to the original Oculus Rift, dubbed the Oculus Rift S. Oculus is revealing today that it will launch the Oculus Rift S soon at $400, or the same price as the Oculus Quest.
