Midwest Games, a game publisher serving developers in non-traditional spaces, named Adam Orth as its chief operating officer.
In addition, the company named Cisco Maldonado and Charlotte Cook as executive advisers to drive strategy in the publishing market.
Midwest Games has focused on its publishing-as-a-service model. Each exec brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience, aimed to further Midwest Games’ pursuit of adapting to the ever-changing industry landscape and embodying the ethos of “your co-pilot to modern publishing.”
Midwest Games is also broadening its international footprint, beginning in Europe, to provide publishers with flexible support across global territories. Already establishing partnerships with groups like Chimera Entertainment and Mindscape, this move lays the groundwork to better serve more publishers navigating increasingly complex and cross-border market dynamics.

Joining as COO, Orth is a video game executive with a proven track record of developing exceptional interactive experiences. Throughout his career, Orth has held director and founder roles across startups and global video game, entertainment, and technology companies, including Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Santa Monica, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and LucasArts.
His role at Midwest will be on company operations, partnerships, business development, and building out the Midwest Games network of experienced publishing resources.
The publisher has also brought on Maldonado and Cook to support areas of its business strategy. Maldonado brings experience as a publishing and franchise strategist, having held senior leadership roles at NetEase Games, Bandai Namco, and DC Comics/Warner Bros. He excels in shaping go-to-market strategy, portfolio positioning, and facilitating long-term IP growth across multiple AAA franchises.
Cook is a senior commercial leader in the global video games industry, known for building scalable publishing operations and driving disciplined growth strategies. Previoulsy commercial director at Team17, Cook’s experience overseeing go-to-market execution, global partnerships, and portfolio performance will be key to strengthening Midwest Games’ pursuit for commercial expansion. The company will be at GDC next week.
