Microsoft’s E3 event: All of the news and trailers

LOS ANGELES — Microsoft abused our eyes with green lights and green carpets, but we survived to bring you all if the biggest news from its media briefing that kicked off a week of huge game announcements at the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The year is 2054, but duty is still calling. Activision and developer Sledgehammer games showed off Advanced Warfare in great detail for the first time at today’s E3 show. The trailer started with a group of marines dropping into combat. While it still has a Call of Duty feel, the game displayed impressive lighting and particle effects. It looked much more “new gen” than last year’s Call of Duty: Ghosts, which was the first game in the series to hit the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 devices.
