Maingear now offers instant trade-in through SellIt9, allowing customers to turn old tech into a Maingear gift card. The service goes live on October 1, 2026 and will allow users to earn instant trade-in credit on every Maingear PC.

Memory and component prices are up, all while perfectly good tech is collecting dust in drawers across the country. Maingear’s answer is to put it these items to work, the idea being that every trade-in knocks real money off a hand-built gaming rig, and every traded device gets a second life through refurbishment, resale, donation, or responsible recycling.

According to a press release, shoppers who use the service can get a quote and a Maingear gift card in minutes, without waiting for a box to ship, arrive, and get inspected. Sellit9 places a temporary hold on the shopper’s card and releases it once the gear has been appraised.

Laptops, phones, tablets, smartwatches, headphones, cameras, lenses, and microphones all qualify. PC upgraders can cash in their parts bin too, with graphics cards, RAM, and SSDs. A Sellit9 trade-in link sits right under the price on Maingear product pages, so gamers can check what their old gear is worth without ever leaving the build.

Sellit9 covers shipping, appraisal, and customer support. Every traded-in device goes to Sellit9’s recycling and partners to be refurbished, resold, donated, or responsibly recycled. Every Maingear system is hand built, benchmarked and tested by expert builders in Warren, New Jersey and comes with lifetime access to Maingear’s tech support.

For launch of the service, every trade-in is worth 5% more with code EXTRA5 through October 14, 2026.
