Superman has a long and storied history of total crap in terms of video games. Superman 64 is one of the all-time worst, and the new Man of Steel movie tie-in title for mobile isn’t much better.
That’s probably why Warner Bros. decided not to release a triple-A game promoting the latest Superman film. Instead, the publisher is working the film into its successful DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.
A Man of Steel-style Superman costume is heading to Injustice next month for $1, but WB is also adding villain General Zod into the mix as a downloadable character.
Zod is due out in July. He’s free for anyone with the $15 season pass. For everyone else, the character will go for $5 or 400 Microsoft Points if that’s your thing.
