Independent developer Cyber Temple has unveiled a brand-new trailer for their upcoming survival city-builder DarkSwitch.
A new trailers shows a detailed look at the unnerving mysteries lurking beneath the treetop city. The new footage expands the world introduced in the demo, highlighting deeper narrative threads, unseen dangers emerging, and the escalating stakes facing the treetop-city that clings to life.

At its core, DarkSwitch is a vertical survival city builder set atop a colossal tree, high above the lethal fog that has consumed civilization and threatens the city’s very own existence. While players continue to develop their settlement, story-driven quests, time-sensitive expeditions, and dynamic fog surges can shift entire strategies in a moment. The game’s entire two-hour prologue is available for everyone to play on a free demo available on Steam.
The main antagonist is an enigmatic fog, which impacts citizens’ health and morale, and is modeled using custom voxel grid technology, creating dynamic and unpredictable fog shifts.
A once-thriving society faced a life-threatening enemy when this mysterious mist swept across the lands, warping their minds and consuming everything. In a desperate attempt for survival, those who still stood fled upwards towards the treetops, and rebuilt their homes above the deadly haze.
The game’s heavy atmosphere is paired with ambisonic audio cues that intensify the sense of dread, all woven together by the haunting compositions of legendary musician Akira Yamaoka.
