How Counter-Strike creator is crafting his new shooter Alpha Response | Minh Le interview

Minh “Gooseman” Le helped create a mod for Half-Life 2 that, in 1999, became one of the most popular online multiplayer games of all time. But more than 25 years later, the co-creator of Counter-Strike is still making games his way.

And Gooseman is working on a new shooter called Alpha Response (now in early access on Steam from developer Ultimo Ratio Games) that brings a lot of his experience to the fore. Counter-Strike is still incredibly popular, particularly as an esport played around the globe. All the different versions of the first-person shooter Counter-Strike — Counter-Strike, Condition Zero, Source and Global Offensive (CS:GO) — have sold more than 72 million copies to date.
