Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded launches on Meta Quest 3 on September 5

XR Games revealed this week that it’s collaborating with IO Interactive to launch Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded on the Meta Quest 3. The title is a new version of the popular stealth title, rebuilt for VR with a few new features and improvements — including a new UI and improved controls. The game launches on September 5 and is exclusive to the Meta Quest 3.

Hitman 3 got its first VR mode shortly after it launched, as original developers IO Interactive built a VR mode for the PSVR, which it later made available for PC users. However, Reloaded is a new version of the game, which addresses some of the criticism’s of the original VR control schemes. In XR’s new Hitman 3, Agent 47 has more fluid movements and a refreshed interface — he can also dual-wield weapons. The title also has a different art style than the original Hitman 3.

XR Games first revealed Reloaded in June, when it originally had a “Summer 2024” release date. Bobby Thandi, XR Games CEO, said in a statement, “It’s finally time for players to play an untethered HITMAN experience. We’re so excited to announce our release date, and can’t wait for players to finally get their hands on HITMAN 3 VR: Reloaded when it releases on September 5th. Not long to wait now!”

Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded is currently available to pre-order on the Meta Horizon store.
