As anyone who keeps up with video game news knows, Halo 2 multiplayer officially died on April 15th — or did it? Seven dedicated gamers refuse to let the game die. You might think that a bunch of players forcing servers that should be shut down to stay on might make Microsoft upset, but you would be wrong. The big "M" has rewarded these guys with access to the multiplayer beta for Halo: Reach [via G4]

In a statement to IGN, Microsoft stated, "We wish them the best in their battle against time. Their tremendous exhibition of courage and commitment makes them ideal candidates for Noble team and therefore we are working to ensure they have everything necessary to participate in the Halo: Reach beta."
