Google Play revenue growing 10X faster than Apple’s iOS app store

Apple’s app store is still bigger than Google Play and still earns much more revenue. But while Google’s app store grew revenue 200 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, Apple’s iOS app store grew only 20 percent.

App Annie released its January state-of-the-app-union report this morning, and the numbers show that Apple’s store is still the cream of the crop, earning 350 percent more revenue than Google Play, and growing more in absolute dollar figures than the upstart Android store.
