God of War parodies have popped up on many different websites since the first game hit store shelves. From the excellent X-Play video we talked about a few months ago to the dozens that have popped up on YouTube, Kratos is almost more popular as the butt of jokes than he is for failing to kill Zeus over and over again.

This fake trailer for a Wes Anderson-style God of War movie stands out more than the others for a few reasons. For one, it's incredibly well done — it could be the next Rushmore, and old guys like me would probably flock to see it. Here's another great thing: The makers of the video threw in game-related junk, like collecting Cyclops Eyes and Kratos' weapon of choice, the Blade of Chaos [via Gamervision]:

Gamervision did another great video for Maniac Mansion a while back as well. The actor who played Kratos turns in a good performance, but shouldn't he look a little less like that guy from Shaun of the Dead and a little more like Mr. Clean?
