Glu plays its trump card with sweepstakes to meet … Kim Kardashian

Ever since Glu Mobile launched its hit mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, you knew that the company had this trump card. Today, it announced that anyone who plays this mobile trendsetter feverishly between tomorrow and March 30 will have a chance to meet the real Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian has been a gold mine for Glu because her game took off last June when it launched, and every time she tweets about it, it gets a new batch of players. Kardashian has about 30.2 million followers on Twitter. The game has slipped to No. 31 on the top-grossing list on App Annie. But it rises with new activity. Kardashian’s celebrity status is like free user acquisition — something that other games can’t match.
