The Global Gaming League (GGL), a league of celebrity-owned teams structured like the NFL meets WWE, announced deals with major game publishers to use their games in the league’s first season.
In this league, teams owned by celebrities compete in streamed competitions at an esports theater in Las Vegas. And now GGL is announcing that triple-A game publishers will permit their games to be used in league play and streamed globally during the league’s first season, SZN Zero.
Among the dozens of games included in the agreements are Tetris, Trackmania, Call of Duty, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Brawlhalla, Tekken and Rocket League, just to name a few.
The breadth of these partnerships span the gaming world and helps to fulfill the GGL’s mission to create a multi-title gaming league that brings together every style of play and every type of player. SZN Zero kicks off with the first competition live and streaming in August.

“Everyone gets excited and understands the impact GGL will have after I explain the vision,” said Clinton Sparks, founder and CEO of the Global Gaming League, in a statement. “Gamers come in all ages and there hasn’t been anything that brings games and gamers from different generations together, until now. With these partnerships, we are able to bring game titles from different genres and eras that attract everyone to the same place. This League will uplift the whole industry, showcasing every aspect of the gaming world from publishers, to those that make the actual hardware, to sponsors and most importantly, to the gamers among us, everywhere.”
The GGL is made up of celebrity-owned teams with four-player rosters. Each competition will see two teams face off over four different games – each from a different genre such as sports, fighting, racing, shooter and classic. The League’s inaugural matches, called SZN Zero, will debut on August 23, showcasing for the world just how the GGL will redefine the competitive gaming landscape.
World-class Publishers such as Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, EA, Tetris, and
Ubisoft have all agreed to allow GGL to use some of the most popular and challenging games during SZN ZERO, attracting a new audience and offering viewers a unique and compelling gaming experience. Watch the Global Gaming League on its Youtube page, as well as other major streaming platforms.

“It has been exciting to see the support from publishers for what we are building here. We are complementary to esports in that we are offering another avenue for competitive gaming and entertainment, but in a more accessible way, ” said Darin Colucci, Global Game League Commissioner, in a statement.
GGL is a first-of-its-kind gaming entertainment league—where gaming, culture, music, sports, fashion, competition and rivalry converge. With celebrity-led teams, live competitions, global fan engagement, and next-gen media experiences, GGL is building the first entertainment system for the world’s largest and most engaged audience.
