The next breakout name in gaming could be playing in a living room right now. Starting today, the Global Gaming League (GGL) is giving that player a path to the major leagues.
GGL today announced the launch of DRFT SZN, a global competition running through January
29, 2027, that gives gamers of all skill levels the opportunity to climb the league’s competitive
ranks, enter its inaugural draft pool, and compete for a spot on a celebrity-owned major league
team.
Players can register at gglprimes.com and compete in daily tournaments across multiple game
titles. Through tournament participation and performance, players earn skill rankings that
determine their progression from the Prime League to the Minor League, with the top 100
players advancing to the draft pool.
Following DRFT SZN, GGL will host a live, in-person draft modeled on the milestone moments
that turn college prospects into household names in traditional sports. GGL and its celebrity
team owners will select players from the draft pool to join their teams as paid professional
players competing in GGL’s 2027 SZN ONE. The draft’s date and location will be announced
separately.
For aspiring players, the opportunity extends beyond winning a tournament: it is a chance to
earn a place in a league where gaming, sports, music, and entertainment come together.
