Get ready for live blogging from E3 in Los Angeles

I’m in Los Angeles for the E3 Media and Business Summit where all of the hot new video games will be shown off to thousands of media attendees.

It’s going to be a hellish week for game news, from Monday through Thursday.

It’s not the gigantic E3 show of years past. But I’ll have a blast writing about the fun stuff here, always with an eye to the latest innovations in gaming and the trends in the business of gaming.

My live blogging kicks off tomorrow at 10:30 am with Microsoft’s press conference in the big West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Microsoft already spilled the news of its Xbox 360 price cut, but there will be more news. Then Square Enix will have a small press conference starting at 1 pm. Electronic Arts will have its press event at 3pm at the Orpheum theater. And if I can last, I’ll tackle a post from one of the parties.

Nintendo and Sony will hold their press conferences on Tuesday and there will be a lot of other live blogging opportunities throughout the show.

You can follow our posts here, or, if you want to hear some of the news from all of the events by the minute, you can log into our live blogging room on Friendfeed. MG Siegler tried this out at the Apple Worldwide Developer Forum and it was a lot of fun.

For each of the press conferences, I’ll be dropping live notes into the same Friendfeed room: VentureBeat E3 FriendFeed room. If you want to join in, login at Friendfeed (free to join) and go to http://friendfeed.com/rooms/venturebeat-e3.

John Gaudiosi will be joining me with some of his own posts on the VentureBeat blog as well. He will write about some of the events that I won’t be able to attend and he’s going to unveil some of the sleeper games at the show. Together, we’ll have a ton of coverage from now until Thursday. Hope you’ll read our stuff.
