Maybe a mobile game addiction will help Garfield get through those Mondays.

The famous cartoon cat has a new game, Survival of the Fattest, available for iOS devices. It’s a free-to-play game that has you trying to keep Garfield fat and happy while he’s forced to camp and diet. It’s from developer Pixowl, which has created other mobile games like The Sandbox and Grub. These days, most properties go to mobile for their gaming tie-ins, since the market could reach $30 billion, with revenues expected to exceed the console industry’s this year, according to market researcher Newzoo.

Garfield is the star of a daily comic strip that started back in 1978. Since then, he’s also had his own movies and TV shows. He’s also starred in plenty of other games, including Garfield: Big Fat Hairy Deal for the Atari ST and Garfield: Caught in the Act for the Sega Genesis.

Garfield has had mobile releases before, including Garfield’s Diner and Garfield Cookie Dozer, both developer by Web Prancer.
