FromSoftware revealed its latest game at The Game Awards 2024, a spin-off of its most popular title, Elden Ring. The new game is called Elden Ring: Nightreign, and it’s a co-op action-adventure title set to launch sometime in 2025 for PC and consoles.

Elden Ring has held its place as one of the most popular and top-selling titles since it launched in 2022. FromSoftware launched the expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, this year — it was nominated for Game of the Year at the awards show, among other accolades.

Studio head Hidetaka Miyazaki had previously said the company wasn’t interested in making a sequel at present, but implied the studio would continue to develop the IP. Nightreign would fit this mandate.
