Fortyseven Communications marks 20 years with London office and creator relations practice

Fortyseven Communications (47), a part of Keywords Studios, is celebrating 20 years with two milestones: opening its doors in London to serve the United Kingdom and Europe; and launching a global Creator Relations practice built from the ground up.

A longtime fixture in the games industry, 47 is also partnering with clients across entertainment, technology, digital lifestyle, and media sectors.

47 EVP and cofounder Craig Sinel, who brings more than two decades of working in interactive entertainment and technology PR, has relocated to London to lead the 47 London efforts.

As part of the expansion, U.K. sister agency Indigo Pearl will integrate with 47. Clients will keep getting the tailored, hands-on care Indigo Pearl is known for, now strengthened by a growing local team and access to the full breadth of 47’s capabilities. The combined operation offers North American scale alongside deep U.K. and European fluency, meeting the rising demand for integrated cross-Atlantic programs.

The new Creator Relations program is led by Meghan Camarena – known to fans as Strawburry17 – whose twenty years as a creator predates the influencer industry itself, spanning YouTube, Twitch, TV, and live production. Grounded in 47’s storytelling roots, the practice is built around how creators work and what audiences respond to: real voices, thoughtful programs, and partnerships that last longer than a single post. 47 is opening the door to new projects and clients, ready to build communities and creative campaigns with creators.

“We’re proud of our 20-year legacy and grateful to every person who’s helped build 47 along the way,” said Sibel Sunar, founder and CEO of Fortyseven communications. “This anniversary rings in a new era for us. Bringing 47 leadership to the UK, welcoming the wonderful Indigo Pearl team, and launching our new creator practice opens up a whole new world of creative firepower and reach for our clients.”

Twenty years in, 47 advances its holistic communications practice, while maintaining its trademarks – senior involvement ensuring strategy and quality, and a collaborative style of partnership, becoming a trusted extension of client teams. As part of Keywords, 47 also sits in a network of agencies that offer marketing services that include social media, creative production, and community management.

In a message to GamesBeat, Sunar said in a statement, “47 London is a natural and organic next step as we work increasingly closely with our UK and Europe colleagues, and our client partners seek more cross-regional support. With Craig in London alongside the talented Indigo Pearl team, and great new talent joining us, we are fired up to offer more to both new and legacy partners.”

Sunar added, “The media landscape has evolved, and there is a growing need for communications teams to work with new media and content creators in more thoughtful and authentic ways. That means understanding the trust audiences place in creators and communities, building real relationships over time, and being mindful of creators’ distinct needs.”

And Sunar said, “Our creator practice extends our communications work, but it is also shaped through the lens of someone who has actually lived that experience. Meghan comes directly from the creator community and has spent more than 20 years building audiences around the things she genuinely loves. She has also advised leading companies on creator relations and has a long history with 47. Together, we are building something that feels collaborative, creative, and special.”
