Epic Games released Forces of Nature, the latest content pack for Gears of War 3, today on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Gears of War 3 Season Pass owners will receive the update for free.
The download includes five new multiplayer maps, each one paired with a unique weather condition. Raven Down, for example, features snow storms, and players will have to deal with heavy fog in Cover. The other locations include forceful winds, strong rain, and a sinking city.
The pack costs 800 Microsoft Points, or $10. It includes four new multiplayer characters: the Savage Hunter, and variants of Commando Dom, Mechanic Baird, and Savage Grenadier Elite. Completists will be pleased to know that they can unlock 250 points worth of new achievements.
This is the fourth batch of DLC released for Epic’s popular third-person shooter, following the Horde Command Pack, RAAM’s Shadow, and Fenix Rising.
Coinciding with the release of Forces of Nature, Gears of War 3 is now available as a Games on Demand title. Xbox Live users can download the full game for $39.99.
