FirstLook, a new platform that allows game creators to track their relationships with players, officially launches with its 1.0 platform after several playtests with popular studios. This version of FirstLook, which has run through several playtests with games from Krafton, Skybound and Bad Robot Games, has new features to help studios connect with players. At present, it’s used by studios such as Remedy Entertainment, System Era, Dreamhaven, Avalanche Studios, Build A Rocket Boy, 11 Bit Studios and New Tales.

Gaming infrastructure company Pragma acquired FirstLook in 2025. With its launch, FirstLook’s features include creator campaign management tools, which allow studios to identify and reward creators who draw attention to their games on social media. It also aggregates player feedback across various channels, including Steam Reviews and Discord, to see a single view of what players are thinking.

FirsLook’s other tools include support for mobile platforms like the App Store and Google Play, aggregating player data for user engagement and acquisition. FirstLook is also available for indie studios to use free for their first 500 players, a move that will help smaller studios build their communities.

Eden Chen, CEO of Pragma, said in statement, “Studios still lack a direct, lasting connection with the players they’re trying to serve. Without that relationship, validation, iteration, community growth, and retention become guesswork, forcing teams to rely on fragmented tools and workarounds. That changes with the launch of FirstLook 1.0. Today we power over 100 major studios, from indies to publishers like Krafton, ArenaNet, and Skybound, connecting millions of players with the developers who make the games they love.”
