Friday night saw one of the best finishes in Street Fighter "Fight Club" history and one of the cheapest, behind-the-scenes acts imaginable by one party pooper. The "Fight Club" was started as a series of underground-community-targeted events by iam8bit in 2008. Sony and Capcom hosted April 23rd's tournament/event, which was open to the public.
Most of the attendees focused on the fun, free food, and great battle between U.S. Street Fighter champion Justin Wong and Japanese champion Daigo Umehara. The epic confrontation between these two stellar competitors can be seen in its entirety here.
Unfortunately, at the end of the event, some scumbag walked away with some of the filmmaker's production equipment — a Mac Book Pro, two Kodak zi8 HD cameras, and "lots" of SD cards containing footage captured during the event. Capcom is offering a "no-questions-asked" reward for the return of the stolen items — most importantly, footage from the event that can never be replaced.
