Fable, the latest game in Xbox’s series of the same name, got a new trailer at the summer Xbox Games Showcase.
The trailer showed off more details about the title, including its 2025 release date and more story details that sets up the game’s central conflict. The game takes place in the familiar setting of Albion, though the quest appears to follow new characters.
The main character is a retired adventurer named Humphry, who is called back into the fray when a former hero returns as a villain. He appears to be assisted in this by a young companion. The gameplay description implies a return to the series’ signature reputation-based gameplay, as the product page says, “With a dark threat looming, and in a world where your reputation precedes you, your choices will change Albion forever.”
