Simon Zhu, former head of investments for NetEase, has started a new company, GreaterThan Group and raised $100 million to invest in top gaming studios, Bloomberg reported.

One of his first investments is in Casey Hudson’s Arcanaut Studios in Edmonton, Canada. Hudson is working on Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, a spiritual successor to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

The game will have narrative depth and replayable light-dark paths, set for release before 2030.

GreaterThan Group has also backed Bullet Farm Games’ co-op shooter from former Call of Duty leader David Vonderhaar and Tokyo’s MAGship.
