Echo sneaks its sci-fi stealth and puzzles to PlayStation 4

Echo, a third-person sci-fi game, is coming out for PlayStation 4 on October 11. The indie title first launched for PC in September.

Releasing on the new platform can introduce Echo to a new audience. It has Very Positive user reviews on Steam, but Echo has less than 10,000 owners on that platform, according to SteamSpy. Echo is also available on GOG, another PC digital game store. Its development studio, Ultra Ultra, is in Denmark. Its team includes former members of Hitman studio IO Interactive.

Echo has a unique enemy feature where your opposition will learn better ways to kill you based on how you play. If you use stealth tactics, they’ll become sneakier. If you prefer guns, they’ll learn how to shoot.

The enemies are also duplicates of En, the main character that’s played by Rose Leslie. Leslie also plays Ygritte in Game of Thrones. You can take advantage of blackouts on the space palace you’re in to kill the dupes without having them learn from it.
