Circular, a maker of smart ring technology, announced the launch of its new and improved Ring Slim, a wearable designed for health and fitness tracking.
The Paris, France-based company said it has better monitoring of your body metrics such as how much you sleep and your heart rate during sporting activities.
Building on its predecessor, the new Ring Slim integrates advanced technology, new features, and an upgraded Kira+ app to offer real-time sports performance tracking and deeper insights into a user’s health and wellness.
The latest Ring Slim includes an advanced ‘heart rate during sport’ algorithm, which delivers precise heart rate monitoring during various sports activities.
This data is seamlessly integrated into the new Sport Session Circle on the updated Kira+ app. This new feature allows users to track their GPS route and analyze detailed performance metrics from their sporting activities, offering a comprehensive overview of their physical exertion and progress.
Along with sports tracking, the Ring Slim now offers a holistic view of health and wellness data through the Advanced Analysis Circle. This tool allows users to compare all their health and wellness data in a single, intuitive graph, making it easier to understand and optimize personal health. It helps wearers identify trends, monitor improvements, and make informed decisions about their health journey.

Circular has also revealed that its latest smart ring has had a major change to its sleep algorithm. Offering users the ability to monitor heart rate, breathing rate, Sp02, temperature, and motion sensors during sleep, the new algorithm delivers a 79% accuracy against Polysomnography tests — the recognized and proven tests that are used to diagnose sleep disorders by recording brain waves, blood oxygen, and heart rate during sleep.
Along with these features, Circular introduced Kira+, the upgraded version of the Kira app. Kira+ introduces the concept of ‘circles’ – visual, intuitive displays that enhance the user experience by providing a more organized and accessible way to track and analyze data.
The Sport Session Circle and Advanced Analysis Circle are among the new parts of this upgraded app.
The wearable for elite athletes

In addition to technological advancements, Circular has improved its scratch-resistant coating and received a full IP68 rating for added durability during activities.
Finally, it added Swiss basketball player Clint Capela as the newest ambassador for the brand. Capela, who currently plays for the Atlanta Hawks, joins other ambassadors like motorsport athlete Romain Grosjean, who partnered with Circular last year.

“We are excited to bring these significant upgrades to our users,” said Amaury Kosman, cofounder of Circular, in a statement. “The new Ring Slim, combined with the Kira+ app, offers a more dynamic and comprehensive approach to health and fitness tracking. With the support of elite athletes like Clint Capela and Romain Grosjean, we are confident that our users will be inspired to reach new heights in their personal fitness journeys.”
