Nintendo announced today that it will be the publisher of Level-5’s Yo-kai Watch role-playing game, bringing it to its Nintendo 3DS in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand next year. The company will also handle publishing duties for South Korea.
According to data from iSpot.tv, four of the top five biggest TV ad spenders in the video game category for the first quarter of the year are mobile game companies, collectively spending over $130 million in 2015.
Crystal Dynamics says that its recent reboot of the Tomb Raider series was the franchise’s best-selling game yet. It has sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide since its early 2013 release when it initially launched on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
