Capcom is doing a Resident Evil 2 Remake

Publisher Capcom is delivering on its promise to do more HD remakes with one of its most popular franchises.

Resident Evil 2, the classic survival-horror game, is getting updated for modern hardware, according to a video announcement from the company (we saw it first on Videogamer). Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, who oversaw the HD upgrade of the original Resident Evil Remake, is taking the lead on this project. Details beyond that are sparse. We don’t even know which platforms Capcom plans to release Resident Evil 2 Remake on.
