Epic Games today announced that the headlining music act, or Icon, for Season 9 of Fortnite Festival is Bruno Mars, as a virtual stop on the artist’s world tour. The new season kicks off tomorrow, with Bruno-based aesthetics taking over the Music Pass and the main stage.
As part of this season, Fortnite has the World Tour Bundle, which features several Mars-based outfits and cosmetics, as well as a new emote and jam track. The Music Pass for the season also includes other outfits from Mars’ music videos and cosmetics, as well as premium rewards such as styles and a special guitar. The Shop will feature Jam Tracks such as Mars’ collaborative songs “Die with a Smile” and “APT.”
Other changes coming with the new season include gameplay improvements. These include all-time leaderboards with community feedback integrated. It also includes a more organized Jam Tracks browser, and rejiggered Random music selection.
