Battlefield: Hardline has intense e-sports-style multiplayer (video)

Electronic Arts is launching its multiplayer version of the cops-and-robbers shooter Battlefield: Hardline today on on EA Access, an online portal. We’ve captured some video of couple of new modes on brand new maps that show how the multiplayer has been modernized.

Both modes featured five-on-five combat. In Rescue, the cops have to rescue a hostage while the criminals have to stop them. And in Crosshair, the police must escort a VIP witness before the criminals can take him out. The rounds are short and intense, and they’re tailor-made for e-sports.
