Square Enix announced this week that it plans to release a new game in its Kingdom Hearts role-playing franchise on mobile devices later this year in Japan, with a vision for an overseas release. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ (pronounced “qui”) will be a free-to-play title for iOS and Android devices, with paid items and elements.
Microsoft announced today that King will bring its blockbuster mobile game Candy Crush Saga to Windows 10. The game will be automatically installed for all customers that upgrade or download Windows 10 for a certain period of time following the game’s launch.

Japanese game developer Imageepoch and affiliate company Smile Online Games have begun bankruptcy procedures in Tokyo this week following a stretch of declining sales. Research provider Teikoku Databank reports (via Siliconera) that Imageepoch has a debt of $9.2 million (1.1 billion yen) owed to 43 different creditors.
