EA brings some big changes to its long-running golf franchise. Electronic Arts parted ways with golf star Tiger Woods in 2013, putting an end to the Tiger Woods PGA Tour golf simulation game series that had seen yearly releases since 1999.
The new Need for Speed game comes after a rare one-year break for EA, and it’s coming from Ghost Games, the makers of the previous franchise title, 2013’s Need for Speed: Rivals. Ghost Games’ general manager Marcus Nilsson said that the studio took time off to reevaluate what the franchise means to fans.
At first glance, Harmonix’s return to consoles with Rock Band 4 looks and sounds mostly similar to its predecessors. Note prompts rain down from the top of the screen while players do their best to keep up on guitar and drum controllers to some of rock music’s most popular tunes.
