My Halloween Video Game-Themed Pumpkin Extravaganza comes to an end with Part 3 — my 2009 pumpkin, featuring New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Classic photo: I’m in my Nintendo 64 shirt, but the pumpkin
is my 2009 New Super Mario Bros. Wii endeavor.

I just finished this year’s beauty and am really happy with it. I never made a scene before, and this time, I tossed aside drawing an image with a pen before cutting and went all Mac The Knife on the gourd. I also painted it.

I hope you all enjoy it, and here’s a link to Part 1 and Part 2 of my pumpkin-thon, as well as a video of the pumpkin. Hit the jump for more pics!

Here’s the first side: pipe and hill with grass, dirt, and stuff.

Here’s Mario riding Yoshi, hitting blocks to get coins.

Thanks to Luigi’s copter suit, it looks like he’ll hit the flag first.

Clouds are up top and the flag’s to the right.
You’re almost there, Luigi. Keep going!

Here’s the back: NSMBW.

The title looks cool in the dark.

A shot of the pipe in dark…it’s actually a lot brighter
with more than one candle. Check the video to see.

I wish the picture was brighter, but hopefully,
you can see Mario on Yoshi, getting coins.

Luigi’s almost there. He’s doing well even in the dark.

I think the flag and clouds look cool in the dark.

Here’s a close-up of NSMBW in the dark, this time without me.

Well, that’s a wrap for this year’s pumpkin. I hope you all think it’s cool. As for next year, I have no idea, but I generally pick whatever’s most popular with kids around the same time as Halloween.

Oh, and on a side note, for this Halloween I’m dressing up as Gilligan, and my girlfriend’s going as Mary Ann.
