PlayStation announced a new Astro Bot game during its State of Play event today. Simply titled Astro Bot, it will release for PlayStation 5 on September 6.
Astro has starred in some fantastic 3D platformers, including 2018’s Astro Bot Rescue Mission for PSVR. Then Astro’s Playroom came out in 2020 as a preinstalled game on every PlayStation 5.
Now, we’re finally getting a fully-fledged Astro game that doesn’t require VR. The game shows Astro flying a Dual Sense controller and meeting up with notable PlayStation characters like Nathan Drake and Kratos.
