Annapurna Interactive and developer Iridium Studios revealed a new gameplay trailer for People of Note, a turn-based RPG musical, in addition to a Steam Demo which is available now.
The game will be available on April 7th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox (X|S, Windows), and Nintendo Switch 2. I’ve seen a demo of the game and it’s got a delightful musical feel.
In People of Note, players take on the role of Cadence, a young Pop singer. After being shut out of the Noteworthy Song Contest, Cadence realizes that her solo act might not be enough for the judges.
As she travels across Note to the Rock City of Durandis, the EDM City of Lumina, and more, Cadence fills out her band with eclectic and powerful musicians from lands afar.
With more band members comes more abilities; in the course of the game’s turn-based combat, players will be able to switch genres and create mashups, leaning into the musical strengths of their party. The combat isn’t the only way to interact with the world, however, as People of Note also features puzzle and dungeon adventuring mechanics.
The game will retail for $25, with a 10% launch discount, and is available for wishlisting now.
