AMD launches new set of 8-core processors for gamers

amd graphicsAdvanced Micro Devices is launching a new series of code-named Vishera processors with eight cores, or computing brains, for high-performance computers such as game machines.

The new AMD FX series of processors, including the AMD FX 8-Core processor Black Edition, offers up to 24 percent better framerates in demanding computer games. AMD is launching several new models, including the AMD FX-8350 (4.0 gigahertz), FX-8320 (3.5 gigahertz), FX-6300 (3.5 gigahertz), and the FX-4300. The prices are, respectively, $195, $169, $132, and $122.
