Amazon Luna has announced Courtroom Chaos, a voice-driven party game starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and the latest iteration of the Luna franchise that’s free to play for Prime members. Now, one of the biggest and most colorful celebrity personalities turns living rooms into a parody courtroom, delivering unpredictable, chaotic fun while settling the most passionate disagreements.
The star himself will demand answers and deliver verdicts with his signature style and commanding presence. “I am proud that we’ve really captured Arnold’s sense of humor and larger-than-life personality,” offered J.C. Connors, director of Amazon Game Studios, in a press release. “Using all of our learnings from Courtroom Chaos – Starring Snoop Dogg, along with lots of player feedback, our development team was able to be creative and push the experience to new levels. Judge Arnold shows more emotion, reacts more strongly to your statements and evidence, and can even remember players across different cases.”
Courtroom Chaos, like all GameNight games on Amazon Luna, requires little setup, no additional hardware, and no controllers beyond your phone and TV. For those who have played Courtroom Chaos – Starring Snoop Dogg, there are a lot of things players will recognize, as well as new things.
“We’ve added new modes based on player feedback. Our most requested feature was to be able to have our judge settle bets with your friends,” says Connors in the same press release. “Have you been forever debating whether pineapple belongs on pizza? Or which superhero is the best? Take it to Judge Arnold. We also added a new single-player mode so you can debate Arnold on a favorite topic of your choosing. And of course, there’s still classic courtroom mode, which has new roles and new surprises in store for players.”
In Courtroom Chaos – Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, there are four ways to play, including three new modes, offering something for everyone and every case.
In Standard Court, Judge Arnold takes his position on the bench seriously, delivering verdicts on even the silliest of multiplayer cases. Players take on the role of plaintiff, defendant or witness(es), and that’s where things get wild as your team improvises and outwits your opponents with sound arguments to win the case.
In between lifting weights and playing with his barbarian-sized sword, Arnold showcases his unique energy in Action Court, where he turns every case into an explosive, action-packed scenario. Is that Arnold dropping in from a chopper?!
In the new Solo mode, you go one-on-one with Judge Arnold. You alone take on this action-hero judge with any crazy topic you can dream up. Your challenge is to convince him that your stance is the clear and obvious right choice. “Everything is bigger in Texas!”, “The best snow is in Utah!”, “Cereal is a soup!”. There’s no witnesses, no backup. It’s just you versus Judge Arnold, who will look to terminate your position if you come with a weak argument.
Finally, with the Settle a Bet mode, two players can bring their heated, head-to-head debates to the bench for Judge Arnold to moderate. Rather than arguing for hours or even days with your friends about whether a hot dog is actually a sandwich, or endlessly debating why Die Hard is or isn’t a Christmas movie, Judge Arnold is here to terminate those arguments once and for all in a tidy, quick court session.
