Activision released its third downloadable content (DLC) pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PlayStation 4, PS3, and PC.
This is one of the last times that PlayStation players will have to wait a month longer to get their DLC packs compared to Xbox players, as Sony and Activision cut a deal to shift the 30-day multiplayer map exclusives to the PlayStation platform for this fall’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
The Supremacy pack includes maps set in London and Moscow, and it also takes the players back to the Highrise map from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as reimagined in the year 2054.
Altogether, there are four new maps and a new Exo Grapple mechanic. The maps include Parliament, set on the docks of the River Thames in London. A a military cargo ship dominates this medium-sized map.
The Kremlin map sets gamers up for combat in Red Square. It has secure elevated positions with gun batteries that give teams a strategic advantage. You can use your exoskeleton abilities to hop over a minefield that appears in mid-match.
The Compound map takes players to an Atlas training facility hidden in the Colorado wilderness. It’s a small, symmetrical map that funnels players into tight corners in a main tower.
And the Skyrise map deploys players to an Atlas skyscraper overlooking the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Players have to dominate positions at the center of this map to control key navigation points.
The Exo Zombies saga (with cooperative zombie-shooting gameplay) continues with an episode dubbed Carrier, set aboard an aircraft carrier where players have to deal with Atlas Strike teams and new zombie enemies. Bruce Campbell (Burn Notice, The Evil Dead series) steps in and joins the battle-hardened cast, including John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire, Burn After Reading), Bill Paxton (Aliens, Titanic, Edge of Tomorrow), Rose McGowan (Planet Terror, Charmed), and Jon Bernthal (Fury, The Wolf of Wall Street).
The expansion from Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software is already available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Supremacy is also included in the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Season Pass, where fans can get all four epic DLC Packs planned for the year, as part of the discounted bundle offered at a suggested retail price of $50 — a discount of $10 off the individual purchase of all four DLC Map Packs.
