Activision Blizzard has registered some names for games that might suggest where the Call of Duty series will go in the future.

With such titles as Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Call of Duty: Secret Warfare and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (domains uncovered by Superannuation), it seems like Activision might be ramping up its efforts with Call of Duty, following the recent Infinity Ward debacle, in an effort to get the studio back on track.

Though the rumors of a sci-fi style Call of Duty have been around for a while now, it seems that Sledgehammer studios could be taking the series in that direction. Sledgehammer, comprised of Visceral veterans who were responsible for EA’s Dead Space, is well versed with sci-fi type shooters. For Sledgehammer to be taking on one of these possible titles doesn’t seem like such a stretch. See Industry Gamers for more.
