Activision Blizzard names ‘Pulp Fiction’ producer Stacey Sher to co-lead film studio

Activision Blizzard is intent on elbowing its way into the movie business. Today, the company is announcing that it has hired Stacey Sher, a seasoned movie producer, as co-president of its movie division.

The hire is the latest to show that Activision Blizzard wants to become a cross-media entertainment company, competing with entertainment companies such as Disney and Warner Bros. Activision Blizzard already has its Warcraft movie in the works, set for a debut on June 10, but its future movies will be produced internally.
