Pokémon Shuffle’s in-game transactions lead to irritation, reports of hacking

Microtransactions are front and center in the new Nintendo 3DS match-’em-to-catch-’em game Pokémon Shuffle. Players have complained and in some cases reportedly hacked their 3DSes to get around the system.

Shuffle launched last week as a free-to-play downloadable title for Nintendo 3DS with in-game purchases. It combines Candy Crush Saga-like match play with capturing Pokémon.
