Publisher Capcom thinks it can breathe some life back into its financials by avoiding traditional platforms for its next Breath of Fire game.

The company announced that Breath of Fire 6 will come exclusively to mobile devices and web browsers in 2014, according to Destructoid. This is the latest entry in the long-running franchise that began back in 1993 on the Super Nintendo.

Capcom hasn’t revealed any plans to bring the new role-playing game to North America.

The last main Breath of Fire game was Dragon Quarter for the PlayStation 2. Capcom released that title, the fifth in the series, in 2002. Since then, the publisher has focused on Breath of Fire games for mobile devices in Japan.

Capcom didn’t go into great detail about the game. Expect more information about Breath of Fire 6 to come out of the Tokyo Game Show event in September.
