I don't think L.A. Noire is an accurate representation of law enforcement. After all, Detective Phelps and his cohorts actually complete investigations in a timely manner. Who ever heard of an efficient cop?
Video Blips:
• Park Cole Phelps behind five departmental desks during his rise through the gumshoe food chain in L.A. Noire. I have a theory: As the garishness of Phelps' tie increases, so does his grasp of authority.
Continue after the break for Alex Mercer's status in Prototype 2, inXile's creative direction in Hunted: The Demon's Forge, and the introduction of the fiery Anjali in Dungeon Siege 3.
• What happened to Prototype's Alex Mercer? In Prototype 2, he's busy stabbing protagonist James Heller in the chest. Remind me to never take the "scenic rooftop" route when going for groceries in Manhattan.
• Members of inXile explain why Hunted: The Demon's Forge punches conventional fantasy archetypes right in the stomach. It's mostly because conventional fantasy archetypes actually get punched in the stomach within the game.
• Anjali starts the fires in Dungeon Siege 3 with her impressive array of spells. I'll tip my hat to the stylist who can somehow work with her continuously burning hair.
