Pixel Art: Do Something With All Those Unsolvable Rubik’s Cubes

Most of us have at least one Rubik’s Cube — hopelessly locked into a disarray of colors. If you have some artistic ability, you can do what John Quigley did and turn those worthless cubes into artwork that would make Rembrandt proud (if he was a video game geek). [Via Technabob]:

It took 1,330 blocks to create this Space Invaders mosaic. A typical Rubik’s Cube has 16 blocks and costs around $10. To create this homage to ’80s arcade goodness would cost you over $800. Look for more pixel art of classic video-game characters after the jump.
