News Blips: Alan Wake Finished, New PS3 Greatest Hits, Earthworm Jim Coming Back, and More

We’re glad that Alan Wake is finally done. Now we can focus on making fun of Final Fantasy 13 for taking entirely too long to be released.

News Blips:

Pinch us: Alan Wake actually finished? That’s what developer Remedy says — the long-in-development action thriller is currently in the polishing stage and should be ready for its spring 2010 release. Well, guess it’s time to retire that “wake us when it’s done” joke. [Joystiq]

Uncharted and SOCOM: Confrontation no longer a huge hit on your wallet. Both Uncharted and SOCOM: Confrontation have been added the PS3’s Greatest Hits line, so Sony is slashing their prices to 30 bucks. Lesson learned here: If you buy more than 1 copy of a game you like, you could potentially buy it later at a cheaper price. Yeah, we know — we’re geniuses. [1UP]

New Earthworm Jim being made from the ground up. Publisher Gameloft announced today that they’ll be releasing a brand new Earthworm Jim game for Xbox Live Arcade, WiiWare, and the PlayStation Network. If we were an anthropomorphic earthworm named Jim, we’d totally say “groovy!” to this news. [Kotaku]
