Becky’s diner is open for business, and the grill is already on fire.

Yesterday, July 27, Drago Entertainment released Road Diner Simulator: Prologue, a free standalone chapter that drops players into the world of the studio’s 2-million-selling hit Gas Station Simulator, this time from behind a diner counter instead of a gas pump. The Prologue is available now on PC via Steam.

Road Diner Simulator returns players to the same stretch of Route 66 familiar to Gas Station Simulator fans, but trades pump nozzles for spatulas. Players take on the role of a short-order cook who shows up at Becky’s roadside diner just as business booms out of control. Becky can’t keep up with the rush alone, and it’s up to the player to jump behind the line and keep tickets from piling up.

The Prologue has players cooking a range of dishes, pouring coffee refills, bussing and washing dishes, seating and serving guests, and managing inventory — all while the orders keep coming. Let the dining room get too messy, and cockroaches show up uninvited.

Beyond the kitchen chaos, the Prologue is built around building a rapport with Becky, whose diner has become a local fixture for truckers, road-trippers, and regulars along the highway.

Drago Studio Head Lucjan Mikociak said the Prologue is a chance for players to revisit a beloved setting from a new angle. “Road Diner Simulator lets players return to the world so many of them fell in love with in Gas Station Simulator, but from behind a completely different counter,” he said, adding that the Prologue is only a preview of what’s ahead.

Road Diner Simulator: Prologue was built in Unreal Engine 5 and is available in nine languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. Minimum specs call for an Intel Core i3-class processor, 8GB of RAM and a GTX 900-series GPU; recommended specs bump that up to a Core i5, 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1070 or better.

The Prologue is just the first step for Road Diner Simulator. Drago plans to release a more extensive demo later this year featuring 4-player online co-op, followed by the full 1.0 launch, both targeted before the end of 2026, with the full game currently slated for a Q3 2026 release on Steam.

Road Diner Simulator is one of several projects Drago Entertainment has in the works as it expands the Gas Station Simulator universe, alongside Roadhouse Simulator and Airport Contraband. Gas Station Simulator itself launched in September 2021 and has sold more than 2 million copies across platforms, becoming one of Steam’s breakout simulation hits.

Drago Entertainment is a publicly listed deverlop and publisher based in, Kraków, Poland. The company has focused on simulation games since restructuring its strategy in 2018 to target international, high-quality productions.

Road Diner Simulator: Prologue is free to download now on Steam. Players interested in the full game can wishlist it ahead of its Q3 2026 release. Drago Entertainment shares updates on the game through its Discord, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch channels.
