Independent developer Long Void Games and publisher Loopr Partners have officially revealed Dieathlon, a “fast-paced first-person action game” where players race down dangerous mountain slopes armed with nothing but their reflexes and a shotgun.
According to the press release, the game combines “high-speed movement, intense combat, and branching routes, Dieathlon challenges players to survive an unforgiving mountain where every path presents new dangers.”
Players descend a frozen mountain while battling monstrous creatures, avoiding deadly obstacles, and making split-second decisions at high speed. Every run offers multiple routes to explore, each introducing unique environments, hazards, and encounters that reward quick thinking and mastery of movement.
As players venture deeper into the mountain, they’ll discover hidden paths, face towering leviathans beneath frozen waters, navigate narrow passages overrun by enemies, and uncover increasingly dangerous challenges. A growing arsenal of weapons, including powerful shotguns and rapid-fire gatling guns, allows players to adapt their approach as they fight to survive the descent.
