Billed as the biggest Hot Wheels racing game yet, Mattel showed off its latest racing game at the Summer Game Fest.
It features realistic Hot Wheels cars racing through a Mario Kart style world. The game will debut on September 24.
Milestone, a global racing game developer, in partnership with Mattel, unveiled the world premiere announcement trailer for Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, a high-speed arcade racing game coming on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, Microsoft and Epic Games Store, with early access beginning Monday, September 21.
Set in dynamic, freely explorable environments designed in the signature scale and style of Hot Wheels, players can launch into gravity-defying stunts and high-speed adventures beyond the iconic orange tracks. Features include:
- Explore a Hot Wheels-Sized World – Race across four themed islands where players can sky-jump between environments, smash through obstacles, uncover hidden collectibles, and shape their own adventure through high-speed racing and free-roaming exploration.
- High-Speed Arcade Racing – Drive 150+ vehicles across four distinct classes, each with unique handling and upgrades, as players build their ultimate “Rush Squad” and unlock cars ranging from bold Hot Wheels originals to vehicles from premium automotive brands such as Ferrari.
- Competitive Multiplayer – Race online with full cross-play* support or locally in split-screen for up to four players across competitive modes, leaderboards, and asynchronous challenges.
- Create & Customize – Customize vehicles with the Sticker and Livery editors, now also featuring wheel customization , then build and share custom tracks with the enhanced track builder, which introduces a ground-snapping system that fully leverages the scale of the environments by allowing modules to be attached directly onto the ground. Players can also add virtual opponents to custom tracks by placing action markers that define the paths of their vehicles. With creations shareable across all platforms*, player-generated content adds endless opportunities for creativity, competition, and replay ability.
